Lymph Node
Lymph node is present between lymph vessels. Lymphatic vessels have around 600 bean shaped lymph nodes. Lymph node are scattered superficially and deep, throughout the body. They are usually occur in groups. 
  • Large lymph nodes are present near mammary glands.
  • Length of Lymph Node  – 1-25 mm
  • Covered by dense connective tissue
  • Lymph node are consist capsule, outer cortex, inner cortex, medulla, reticular fibers, trabecula and stroma.
  • Outer cortex aggregates B cells, called lymphatic nodules. 

Functions of lymph node 

  • Lymph node is filtering lymph.  
  • Lymph nodes contain lymphocytes include B cells and T cells.
  • B cells produces different antibodies
