Paget's Disease

Paget's Disease is characterized by a greatly accelerated remodeling process in which osteoclastic resorption is massive and new bone formation by osteoblasts is extensive. As a result, there is an irregular thickening and softening of the bones and greatly increased vascularity, especially in bones of the skull, pelvis and extremities.
